Family Network Meeting Multi-Agency Awareness Training

Dates: 7th October 2025 & 3rd February 2027

Time: 09:30am - 12:00pm

Microsoft Teams

Tracy Sheraton and Nicola Cross, Family Network Meeting (FNM) Facilitators, from Think Family Service are delighted to offer Family Network Meeting (FNM) Awareness Training for our multi-agency partners. This will be half a day training via Microsoft Teams.

The training provides multi‑agency professionals with an introduction to what FNMs are, why they are used, and how they support family‑led decision making. The session explains how FNMs sit within the Families First Partnership approach and how they help identify family strengths, build safe networks, and improve outcomes for children.

The training will explore when an FNM should be considered, the roles of different professionals, and how agencies can contribute effectively before, during, and after a meeting. It will highlight the importance of partnership working, culturally sensitive practice, and keeping the child’s voice central.

This awareness training is designed to help multi‑agency partners understand how FNMs complement their own roles, reduce professional drift, and support sustainable, family‑based plans.
